Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SSTOM)

Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SSTOM)

Jawa Technologies delivered the optical backbone supporting a portion of the SSTOM package, specifically the substation infrastructure for the new Western Sydney Airport line. Jawa Technologies planned, installed, and certified carrier-grade fibre links end-to-end, supplying documented performance and an integration-ready handover to Tier-1 partners on this landmark NSW transport program.

Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT)

Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT)

Jawa Technologies built a high-capacity fibre network to support control, safety, and communications across one of NSW’s most complex tunnel projects. From haul preparation to certified terminations, the result is a low-loss, resilient backbone enabling reliable operations for this critical harbour crossing.

Bradfield – Substation Works

Bradfield – Substation Works

Jawa Technologies established the fibre foundations for new substation infrastructure at the Aerotropolis, enabling current systems and future precinct expansion. The outcome is a robust, high-count network with verified optical performance, delivered alongside major multinationals to support NSW’s next growth hub.

Western Sydney Airport — Runway Sensors (5 km)

Western Sydney Airport — Runway Sensors (5 km)

Jawa Technologies installed the optical fibre backbone supporting airfield runway sensor systems over a 5 km alignment. Works covered haul preparation, duct and pit utilisation, splicing, terminations, and certification testing, delivering low-loss links ready for integration with airfield control systems.

Box Hill Ausgrid Substation to Vineyard Transgrid Substation

Box Hill Ausgrid Substation to Vineyard Transgrid Substation

Jawa Technologies hauled and spliced optical fibre between the Box Hill Ausgrid substation and the Vineyard Transgrid substation, installing underground enclosures and completing certified terminations. The deliverable provided a resilient inter-substation communications path with documented loss budgets and test records.

Bringelly to Western Sydney Airport

Bringelly to Western Sydney Airport

Jawa Technologies hauled optical fibre, performed pit-based splicing, supplied and installed underground enclosures, and completed cabinet terminations and acceptance testing. The scope handed over fully tested links from Bringelly to Western Sydney Airport for immediate integration by the client team.

Surry Hills to Metro Substation (Central Station)

Surry Hills to Metro Substation (Central Station)

Jawa Technologies hauled, spliced, and tested 1.2 km of optical fibre for Quickway, achieving low-loss performance and producing complete as-built and OTDR documentation for acceptance at Central Station’s metro substation.

Alexandria to Kingsford

Alexandria to Kingsford

Jawa Technologies executed a 12.6 km programme involving fibre haul, splicing, and installation of underground enclosures. The team completed cabinet terminations and verified performance through bidirectional OTDR, delivering an integration-ready network.

M6 — Canterbury Ausgrid Substation to M6 Rockdale Communications Room

M6 — Canterbury Ausgrid Substation to M6 Rockdale Communications Room

Jawa Technologies installed 17 km of optical fibre linking the Canterbury Ausgrid substation to the M6 Rockdale communications room. The build incorporated redundancy planning, certified terminations, and full test evidence to support motorway communications systems.

Rookwood to Beaconsfield

Rookwood to Beaconsfield

Jawa Technologies hauled 21 km of 48-core cable from Rookwood substation to Beaconsfield West substation, supplied and installed large dome enclosures for communications cable, installed distributed temperature sensing (DTS), and supplied and installed FOBOT hardware. OTDR testing was completed in both directions with documented pass results.

NorthConnex

NorthConnex

As part of the tolled motorway connecting the M1 at Wahroonga to the Hills M2 at West Pennant Hills, Jawa Technologies installed and tested fibre-optic communications cabling at defined intervals along an 18 km section, handing over certified low-loss links to support tunnel operations and control.

WestConnex

WestConnex

During road-widening works that required relocation and upgrade of utilities, Jawa Technologies installed, tested, and spliced communications cables from Campbell Road to Wellington Street, providing compliant documentation and integration-ready connectivity for commissioning.

Ausgrid — Major Cable Upgrade

Ausgrid — Major Cable Upgrade

Across a multi-year upgrade spanning Sydney to Newcastle, Ausgrid contractors engaged Jawa Technologies for specialist fibre works at critical milestones. The team installed DTS microfibre into microduct, installed core fibre into conduits on each feeder, and completed extensive splicing and testing, delivering reliable utility-grade communications across the network.

Endeavour Energy

Endeavour Energy

Jawa Technologies supported Endeavour Energy’s Sydney works with splicing, terminating, and testing of fibre feeders, including precision installs into 100 mm conduit, winching 60-core and 144-core cable, OTDR verification, and fusion splicing. The works produced certified, service-ready links with full QA records.
